The meetings are safe. There are no visitors. We're honest. We don't assume our opinions are shared by others. All questions and comments are welcome. We challenge ourselves and each other. We say "I heard" or "I didn't hear" rather than "I liked" or "I didn't like" when commenting on another's reading. We may miss 2 meetings (except the first and final.) If we miss the more than 2 meetings, we will be asked to drop out until the next play. We must bring a notebook and a pencil. We ask you to bring water if you want it. We acknowledge that what we may be inclined to judge as a mistake, failure or bad choice may likely be the product of taking a risk and may actually be a moment of discovery or revelation for ourselves or for the group. |

We are looking for: If you are interested in becoming a member, email us at contact@playgroundforactors to arrange an audition. Please include your name and contact number. We will e-mail you a scene. On your own, prepare the scene as you would for performance. We are particularly interested in actions and objectives. During our meeting, we'll sit at the table and you'll share your work. |
